Live Oak:

This is a magnificent, broadleaf green leaf tree. It grows rapidly when young and may live to be centuries old. Adapts to almost any soil. Live Oaks are very tolerant trees.

Cedar Elm

This large shade tree is very drought tolerant.  It has rounded, vase shape leaves that are green in summer and turn a lovely yellow in fall.

50-70 ft.

Bald Cypress

This tree thrives by water. It displays a peculiar habit of raising conical "knees" from its roots. The function of these growths is something of a mystery, although some believe it is a way to help the roots get oxygen. This tree dwells in swamps because it out-competes most other trees for water.

Chinese Pistachio

A fast growing, beautiful tree that provides shade in a short period of time. This tree produces beautiful red leaves in the fall.  It grows quickly in full sun to partial shade and will withstand heat and drought extremely well.

Red Oak

The Red Oak is an American treasure. It produces brilliant red leaves in the fall and it is drought tolerant.

60-75 ft. (9-12 m)

magnolia

Little Gem Magnolia

This smaller version of the Magnolia tree produces 3 to 4 inch fragrant white flowers that bloom sporadically throughout the summer and into the fall. It is an evergreen tree that thrives in sun or shade.

30 feet
15 feet or more canopy

Lace Bark Elm

This tree is a tough and durable tree for any situation, and is drought tolerant.  It has a rounded crown with dark green leaves that change to yellow and reddish purple in the fall.

Height:
40-50 ft.
35-45 ft or more canopy
